And (to) Lut We gave him judgment and knowledge, and We saved him from the town which was doing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people evil, defiantly disobedient.
View 82 More Translations ↓AND UNTO Lot, too, We vouchsafed sound judgment and knowledge [of right and wrong], and saved him from that community which was given to deeds of abomination. [We destroyed those people - forr,] verily, they were people lost in evil, depraved –
And Lot -- to him We gave judgment and knowledge; and we delivered him from the city that had been doing deeds of corruption; they were an evil people, truly ungodly
And to Lut, too, We gave Judgment and Knowledge, and We saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to Evil, a rebellious people
وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ حُكْمًۭا وَعِلْمًۭا وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ ٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ ۗ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍۢ فَـٰسِقِينَ ٧٤
walūṭan ātaynāhu ḥuk'man waʿil'man wanajjaynāhu mina l-qaryati allatī kānat taʿmalu l-khabāitha innahum kānū qawma sawin fāsiqīn
